FC Black Stars Basel

FC Black Stars Basel was one of four clubs from Switzerland that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2024. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to FC Black Stars Basel, 82 other teams from 15 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof FC Black Stars Basel could be found in Group 13 together with AIK FF, Utsiktens BK, Dänischenhagen/Kiel, MTV and Lidköpings FK. FC Black Stars Basel made it to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 13. Once in the playoff they made it all the way to the Final, but lost it against Vita Youth 3 with 0-1. Thereby FC Black Stars Basel finished second in B18 Play off B during Gothia Cup 2024. FC Black Stars Basel also participated in Boys 17 during Gothia Cup 2023. They reached the 1/8 Final in B17 Play off B, but lost it against Volf Soccer Academy with 0-7. FC Black Stars Basel comes from Basel which lies approximately 1200 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than FC Black Stars Basel, the club SC Binningen does also originate from the area around Basel.
