Playa

Playa was one of 25 clubs from Mexico that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to Playa, 81 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Playa could be found in Group 6 together with FC Rosengård, Backatorp IF, FC Nokia Valkoinen and Marin FC 1. Playa continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Vikingur 1 with 1-3. In the Final, Hammarby IF FF won over KA 1 and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 14. Other than Playa, the club Jaguares Nuevo León does also originate from the area around .
