Cefor Jilo

Cefor Jilo was one of 25 clubs from Mexico that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Boys 17. In addition to Cefor Jilo, 109 other teams from 21 different countries played in Boys 17. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof Cefor Jilo could be found in Group 15 together with SV Bergstedt 1, Russell Martin Academy and Adolfsbergs IK. Cefor Jilo continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 15. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against LSA Academy with 0-2. In the Final, CD Inter Vista Alegre won over JFV A/O/B/H/H and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 17. Cefor Jilo comes from JILOTEPEC which lies approximately 9400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around JILOTEPEC does also provide 16 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Among others: CF Interclubes Mexico, Club Caref, Sisukas FC, IFAC, Academy Elite, Mexico United FC, Cefor San Luis, Nido Valle Dorado, Femelite F.C and Intercups MX).
