Cefor San Luis

Cefor San Luis was one of 25 clubs from Mexico that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Cefor San Luis, 212 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 52 different groups, whereof Cefor San Luis could be found in Group 33 together with Phoenix Football Academy, Qviding FIF 2 and Sickla IF 1. Cefor San Luis continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 33. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Regents Park FC with 2-3. In the Final, Russell Martin Academy won over SK Sprint-Jeløy 1 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. Cefor San Luis comes from HUIXQUILUCAN which lies approximately 9400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around HUIXQUILUCAN does also provide 16 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Among others: CF Interclubes Mexico, Club Caref, Cefor Jilo, Sisukas FC, IFAC, Academy Elite, Mexico United FC, Nido Valle Dorado, Femelite F.C and Intercups MX).
