Ås IL

Ås IL was one of 56 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Boys 17. In addition to Ås IL, 109 other teams from 21 different countries played in Boys 17. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof Ås IL could be found in Group 5 together with Swindon Town FITC, Ulvåkers IF and CD Inter Vista Alegre. Ås IL continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against SV Lurup-Hamburg v. 1923 with 0-4. In the Final, CD Inter Vista Alegre won over JFV A/O/B/H/H and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 17. Ås comes from Ås which lies approximately 220 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Ås does also provide 16 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Among others: Dikemark IF, Strømmen IF, Kjelsås IL, Rælingen FK, SK Sprint-Jeløy, Asker SKK, IL Heming, Ekholt BK, FK Eika Krapfoss and Hasle-Løren IL).
