Kvarnby IK

Kvarnby IK was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Boys 13. In addition to Kvarnby IK, 193 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 13. They were divided into 48 different groups, whereof Kvarnby IK could be found in Group 25 together with European Football Academy, Kungsladugårds BK, Enskede IK 2 and West Coast United. Kvarnby IK continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 25. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against BK Häcken 1 with 0-1. In the Final, Minerva Academy FC won over Ordin FC and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 13. Kvarnby comes from Malmö which lies approximately 250 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Malmö does also provide 36 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Among others: IF Lödde, FC Staffanstorp, Torns IF, Kungsbacka IF, GIF Nike, Furulunds IK, Uppåkra IF, Lunds BoiS/Torns IF, Skanör-Falsterbo IF and Lilla Torg FF).
