Värpinge IF

Värpinge IF was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Värpinge IF, 74 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 18 different groups, whereof Värpinge IF could be found in Group 16 together with JSG Achim-Uesen, Korsnäs IF, Klaksvikar idrottarfelag and Floda BoIF. Värpinge IF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 16. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Landvetter IF with 0-3. In the Final, Mölnlycke IF won over New Mill FC and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 16. Värpinge comes from Lund which lies approximately 240 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Lund does also provide 39 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Among others: IF Lödde, FC Staffanstorp, Vendelsö IK, Torns IF, Kungsbacka IF, GIF Nike, Furulunds IK, Uppåkra IF, Lunds BoiS/Torns IF and Skanör-Falsterbo IF).
