Project Playground FC

Project Playground FC was one of four clubs from South Africa that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Boys 17. In addition to Project Playground FC, 109 other teams from 21 different countries played in Boys 17. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof Project Playground FC could be found in Group 16 together with Alingsås IF, SK Haugar 1 and Lilienthal-Falkenberg, SV. Project Playground FC continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 16. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against CCL Soccer Club with 0-2. In the Final, Volf Soccer Academy won over Östersunds FK and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 17. Project Playground FC also participated in Boys 16 during Gothia Cup 2022. They reached the 1/32 Final in B16 Play off A, but lost it against ProGen FC with 0-5. Project Playground FC comes from Langa which lies approximately 10000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Project Playground FC, the club Camps Bay Football Club does also originate from the area around Langa.
