Boca Juniors

Boca Juniors was one of 15 clubs from Brazil that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Boca Juniors, 97 other teams from 20 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 24 different groups, whereof Boca Juniors could be found in Group 1 together with Prep Schools Lions Navy, GAIS 2 and Viggbyholms IK FF. Boca Juniors continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Comillas CF with 1-2. In the Final, Barca CFIS won over FC New England and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 12. Boca Juniors comes from CAMPINAS which lies approximately 11000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around CAMPINAS does also provide 12 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Among others: Brazza FC, Projeto Bugrinho, Brasil Juniors Futebol, RS Sports, Brasil Juniors FC, Ordin FC, BRFC, InterClubes, E.C. Sirio-Sampa and E.C. Pinheiros).
