JFV Union 18

JFV Union 18 was one of 70 clubs from Germany that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to JFV Union 18, 212 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 52 different groups, whereof JFV Union 18 could be found in Group 45 together with St Lawrence, IK Zenith and Mölnlycke IF. JFV Union 18 continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 45. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Florø SK with 0-3. In the Final, Russell Martin Academy won over SK Sprint-Jeløy 1 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. JFV Union 18 also participated in Boys 15 during Gothia Cup 2022. They reached the 1/64 Final in B15 Play off B, but lost it against Vikingur 2 with 3-4. JFV Union 18 comes from Sottrum which lies approximately 540 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Sottrum does also provide 9 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Etelsen eV, TSV, JFV Concordia Wümme, JSG Achim-Uesen, SC Borgfeld eV, JFV A/O/B/H/H, Lilienthal-Falkenberg, SV, SG Findorff, ATSV Scharmbeckstotel and Bremer Fußball-Verband).
