AFC Järfälla

AFC Järfälla was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to AFC Järfälla, 97 other teams from 21 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 24 different groups, whereof AFC Järfälla could be found in Group 12 together with Vilnius Football Academy Black, Blau-Weiß 96 Schenefeld 1 and BK Häcken 2. AFC Järfälla continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 12. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against IFK Göteborg with 0-3. In the Final, Barca CFIS won over FC New England and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 12. AFC Järfälla comes from Stockholm which lies approximately 390 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Stockholm does also provide 64 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Among others: Hässelby SK FF, IFK Lidingö, Boo FF, Järla IF, EKF Täby, Viginti Quattuor FC, Sigtuna City FK, IFK Haninge, IFK Bergshamra and Rågsveds IF).
