Melhus IL/Gauldal

Melhus IL/Gauldal was one of 56 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Melhus IL/Gauldal, 111 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof Melhus IL/Gauldal could be found in Group 2 together with Arnäs IF, Stureby FF and Elite Development Academy. Melhus IL/Gauldal continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Gefle IF White with 1-2. In the Final, Stångebro United won over Lindö FF Norrköping and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 15. Melhus IL/Gauldal comes from Melhus which lies approximately 620 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Melhus does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Ranheim IL, Melhus IL, Gimse/Melhus/Gauldal, Nidelv IL, Nardo FK and Gimse IL).
