Cerezo Osaka

Cerezo Osaka was one of two clubs from Japan that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Gothia Puma Trophy (B17). In addition to Cerezo Osaka, 35 other teams from 10 different countries played in Gothia Puma Trophy (B17). They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Cerezo Osaka could be found in Group 2 together with CY Bohemians Praha, Hammarby IF FF and IFK Göteborg. Cerezo Osaka continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Right to Dream with 0-1. In the Final, Right to Dream won over AIK FF and became the winner of Play off A in Gothia Puma Trophy (B17). Cerezo Osaka comes from Osaka which lies approximately 8500 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
