Strømmen IF

Strømmen IF was one of 56 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Boys 17. In addition to Strømmen IF, 109 other teams from 21 different countries played in Boys 17. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof Strømmen IF could be found in Group 3 together with Linköpings FF, Euro Soccer Academy and RC Lens London. Strømmen IF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against CD Inter Vista Alegre with 1-2. In the Final, CD Inter Vista Alegre won over JFV A/O/B/H/H and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 17. Strømmen IF also participated in Boys 16 during Gothia Cup 2022. They reached the 1/16 Final in B16 Play off A, but lost it against KA with 0-1. Strømmen comes from Strømmen which lies approximately 250 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Strømmen does also provide 15 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Among others: Dikemark IF, Ås IL, Kjelsås IL, Rælingen FK, Asker SKK, IL Heming, Hasle-Løren IL, Lyn Fotball, Oppsal IF and Aurskog-Finstadbru SK).
