IFK Nyköping

IFK Nyköping was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to IFK Nyköping, 74 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 18 different groups, whereof IFK Nyköping could be found in Group 1 together with FC New England, BV Werther and Sunderby SK/Gammelstads IF. IFK Nyköping continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Sporting Duet FC with 0-1. In the Final, Mölnlycke IF won over New Mill FC and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 16. IFK Nyköping comes from Nyköping which lies approximately 320 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than IFK Nyköping, the club Nyköpings BIS does also originate from the area around Nyköping.
