Våmbs IF

Våmbs IF was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 17. In addition to Våmbs IF, 64 other teams from 10 different countries played in Girls 17. They were divided into 16 different groups, whereof Våmbs IF could be found in Group 12 together with Gammelstads IF, Minneapolis United and Boo FF. Våmbs IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 12. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Avaldsnes IL with 1-2. In the Final, FC Schweinfurt 05 won over Eskilsminne IF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 17. Våmbs IF also participated in Girls 16 during Gothia Cup 2022. They reached the 1/8 Final in G16 Play off B, but lost it against Steel Soccer PA with 0-2. Våmbs comes from Skövde which lies approximately 130 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Skövde does also provide 10 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (IFK Skövde, IFK Tidaholm, Skövde KIK, Ardala GoIF, Tidaholms GIF, Ulvåkers IF, IFK Falköping FF, Skultorps IF, Falköpings KIK and Skövde AIK).
