Piteå IF DFF

Piteå IF DFF was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Gothia Puma Trophy (G17). In addition to Piteå IF DFF, 15 other teams from 8 different countries played in Gothia Puma Trophy (G17). They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Piteå IF DFF could be found in Group 1 together with Team Odense Q, FC Rosengård and NorCal Premier PDP. Piteå IF DFF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Arna-Bjørnar with 0-4. In the Final, Minnesota Thunder Academy won over NorCal Premier PDP and became the winner of Play off A in Gothia Puma Trophy (G17). Piteå DFF comes from Piteå which lies approximately 980 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Piteå does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Öjeby IF/Infjärdens SK IBFF, Munksund/Skuthamn SK, FC Norrsken, Storfors AIK and Piteå IF).
