Mexico United FC

Mexico United FC was one of 25 clubs from Mexico that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 17. In addition to Mexico United FC, 64 other teams from 9 different countries played in Girls 17. They were divided into 16 different groups, whereof Mexico United FC could be found in Group 3 together with FC Schweinfurt 05, IFK Göteborg and Husqvarna FF. Mexico United FC continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Eskilsminne IF with 4-5. In the Final, FC Schweinfurt 05 won over Eskilsminne IF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 17. Mexico United FC also participated in Girls 16 during Gothia Cup 2022. They reached the 1/8 Final in G16 Play off A, but lost it against Smedby AIS with 5-6. Mexico United FC comes from MEXICO which lies approximately 9400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around MEXICO does also provide 16 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Among others: CF Interclubes Mexico, Club Caref, Cefor Jilo, Sisukas FC, IFAC, Academy Elite, Cefor San Luis, Nido Valle Dorado, Femelite F.C and Intercups MX).
