Ranheim IL

Ranheim IL was one of 56 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Boys 17. In addition to Ranheim IL, 109 other teams from 21 different countries played in Boys 17. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof Ranheim IL could be found in Group 4 together with SV Blankenese 2B, Saltsjöbadens IF and CF Interclubes Mexico. Ranheim IL continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against CD Inter Vista Alegre with 1-3. In the Final, CD Inter Vista Alegre won over JFV A/O/B/H/H and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 17. Ranheim comes from Trondheim which lies approximately 640 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Trondheim does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Melhus IL/Gauldal, Melhus IL, Nidelv IL, Nardo FK and Gimse IL).
