Syrianska FC

Syrianska FC was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Syrianska FC, 74 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 18 different groups, whereof Syrianska FC could be found in Group 5 together with Zumaiako Futbol Taldea, Öckerö IF and IF Karlstad Fotboll. Syrianska FC continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Arnäs IF with 0-4. In the Final, Mölnlycke IF won over New Mill FC and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 16. Syrianska FC comes from Södertälje which lies approximately 370 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Södertälje does also provide 58 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Among others: Hässelby SK FF, IFK Lidingö, Boo FF, Järla IF, EKF Täby, Nynäshamn IF FK, IFK Haninge, IFK Bergshamra, Rågsveds IF and Hammarby IF).
