Bayer 04 Leverkusen

Bayer 04 Leverkusen was one of 70 clubs from Germany that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Gothia Puma Trophy (G17). In addition to Bayer 04 Leverkusen, 15 other teams from 7 different countries played in Gothia Puma Trophy (G17). They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Bayer 04 Leverkusen could be found in Group 3 together with Eskilstuna United DFF, Minnesota Thunder Academy and Umeå IK FF. Bayer 04 Leverkusen made it to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 3. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against Djurgårdens IF, which they won with 2-0. Thereby Bayer 04 Leverkusen won the entire Play off B in Gothia Puma Trophy (G17) during Gothia Cup 2023. Bayer 04 Leverkusen comes from Leverkusen which lies approximately 820 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Leverkusen does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (SF Ippendorf and ASV Sankt Augustin).
