FC Norrsken

FC Norrsken was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to FC Norrsken, 74 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 18 different groups, whereof FC Norrsken could be found in Group 3 together with IK Sturehov, Boo FF and KFV Segeberg. FC Norrsken continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against BV Werther with 3-5. In the Final, Mölnlycke IF won over New Mill FC and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 16. FC Norrsken comes from Norrfjärden which lies approximately 990 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Norrfjärden does also provide 9 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Öjeby IF/Infjärdens SK IBFF, IFK Luleå, Munksund/Skuthamn SK, Storfors AIK, Piteå IF DFF, Piteå IF, Bergnäsets AIK, Sunderby SK/Gammelstads IF and Gammelstads IF).
