In addition to IF Elfsborg, 35 other teams from 11 different countries played in Gothia Puma Trophy (B17). They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof IF Elfsborg could be found in Group 1 together with Right to Dream, Fredrikstad Fotballklubb and Landskrona BoIS. IF Elfsborg continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Deportivo Cali with 1-3. In the Final, Right to Dream won over AIK FF and became the winner of Play off A in Gothia Puma Trophy (B17). IF Elfsborg also participated in Gothia Puma Trophy (B17) during Gothia Cup 2022. They reached the Semi final in B17E Play off B, but lost it against Malmö FF with 0-2.
