IFK Kalmar

IFK Kalmar was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Gothia Puma Trophy (G17). In addition to IFK Kalmar, 15 other teams from 8 different countries played in Gothia Puma Trophy (G17). They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof IFK Kalmar could be found in Group 2 together with Jef United Chiba, 1. FC Slovácko and Kristianstads DFF. IFK Kalmar continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Djurgårdens IF with 0-4. In the Final, Bayer 04 Leverkusen won over Djurgårdens IF and became the winner of Play off B in Gothia Puma Trophy (G17). IFK Kalmar comes from Kalmar which lies approximately 290 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Kalmar does also provide 9 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (IFK Borgholm, Möre BK, Smedby BoIK, Team Södermöre, Hossmo BK, Färjestadens GoIF, Kalmar FF, IFK Berga and Lindsdals IF).
