Åkra FC

Åkra FC was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Åkra FC, 212 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 52 different groups, whereof Åkra FC could be found in Group 44 together with Belmont United SC, Ekholt BK and Reds Football Academy. Åkra FC continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 44. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Svärtinge SK with 0-2. In the Final, ED Moratalaz won over Lillestrøm SK 2 and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. Åkra FC comes from Sala which lies approximately 360 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Sala does also provide 8 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (IFK Västerås FK, Irsta IF, Västerås IK, Sala FF, Sätra IF, Västerås SK Ungdom, Gideonsbergs IF and Västerås SK Fotboll).
