Växjö DFF

Växjö DFF was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Växjö DFF, 111 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof Växjö DFF could be found in Group 6 together with Näsets SK 2, Sidsjö-Böle IF and SKF MTW Tongeren. Växjö DFF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Stureby FF with 1-4. In the Final, Boo FF won over Northumberland County Schools FA and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 15. Växjö DFF comes from Växjö which lies approximately 190 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Växjö DFF, the club Sandsbro AIK does also originate from the area around Växjö.
