Gimse IL

Gimse IL was one of 56 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Gimse IL, 89 other teams from 21 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 22 different groups, whereof Gimse IL could be found in Group 4 together with Valencia CF Academy Canada, Vänersborgs IF and Ale United. Gimse IL continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against GIF Nike with 1-2. In the Final, UF Comércio e Indústria won over Qviding FIF and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 18. Gimse comes from Gimse which lies approximately 620 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Gimse does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Ranheim IL, Melhus IL/Gauldal, Melhus IL, Gimse/Melhus/Gauldal, Nidelv IL and Nardo FK).
