Bergnäsets AIK

Bergnäsets AIK was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 14B. In addition to Bergnäsets AIK, 30 other teams from 10 different countries played in Girls 14B. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Bergnäsets AIK could be found in Group 6 together with Färjestadens GoIF, Empire FC 1 and FC Legion. Bergnäsets AIK continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Askims IK with 0-4. In the Final, Kvarnsvedens IK won over Makati FC and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 14B. Bergnäsets AIK comes from Luleå which lies approximately 1000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Luleå does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (IFK Luleå, FC Norrsken, Sävast AIF, Sunderby SK/Gammelstads IF, Trångfors IF and Gammelstads IF).
