Norrstrands IF

Norrstrands IF was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 17. In addition to Norrstrands IF, 64 other teams from 10 different countries played in Girls 17. They were divided into 16 different groups, whereof Norrstrands IF could be found in Group 11 together with Trelleborgs FF Academy, Epsom and Ewell Colts FC, ATS Buntentor and Årsta FF. Norrstrands IF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 11. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Eskilsminne IF with 1-6. In the Final, FC Schweinfurt 05 won over Eskilsminne IF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 17. Norrstrands comes from Karlstad which lies approximately 210 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Norrstrands IF, the club FBK Karlstad does also originate from the area around Karlstad.
