Minneapolis United

Minneapolis United was one of 46 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 17. In addition to Minneapolis United, 64 other teams from 10 different countries played in Girls 17. They were divided into 16 different groups, whereof Minneapolis United could be found in Group 12 together with Gammelstads IF, Våmbs IF and Boo FF. Minneapolis United continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 12. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Trelleborgs FF Academy with 0-1. In the Final, IFK Göteborg won over BK Häcken 2 and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 17. Minneapolis United comes from Minneapolis which lies approximately 6700 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Minneapolis does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Minnesota Thunder Academy and St. Paul Blackhawks).
