Gimse/Melhus/Gauldal

Gimse/Melhus/Gauldal was one of 56 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to Gimse/Melhus/Gauldal, 37 other teams from 7 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 9 different groups, whereof Gimse/Melhus/Gauldal could be found in Group 3 together with IFK Wreta Kloster, Furulunds IK, Näsets SK and Skogstorps GoIF. Gimse/Melhus/Gauldal continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Hovås-Billdal IF with 5-6. In the Final, IFK Wreta Kloster won over Hovås-Billdal IF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 18. Gimse/Melhus/Gauldal comes from Gimse which lies approximately 600 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Gimse does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Melhus IL/Gauldal, Melhus IL, Nidelv IL, Nardo FK and Gimse IL).
