Högbo AIK

Högbo AIK was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Högbo AIK, 74 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 18 different groups, whereof Högbo AIK could be found in Group 17 together with IFK Aspudden-Tellus, Skurups AIF and Medkila IL. Högbo AIK continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 17. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Tölö IF with 0-2. In the Final, Mölnlycke IF won over New Mill FC and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 16. Högbo AIK also participated in Girls 15 during Gothia Cup 2022. They reached the 1/16 Final in G15 Play off B, but lost it against Storfors AIK with 1-2. Högbo AIK comes from Sandviken which lies approximately 420 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Sandviken does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Strömsbro IF, Sandvikens IF, Gefle IF, Valbo FF and Årsunda IF).
