IFK Berga

IFK Berga was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Boys 17. In addition to IFK Berga, 109 other teams from 21 different countries played in Boys 17. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof IFK Berga could be found in Group 26 together with Premier Soccer Academy, Finlandia Pallo AIF and Imperial Future. IFK Berga continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 26. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against IFK Västerås FK with 0-1. In the Final, Volf Soccer Academy won over Östersunds FK and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 17. IFK Berga comes from Kalmar which lies approximately 290 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Kalmar does also provide 10 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Mönsterås GoIF, IFK Borgholm, Möre BK, Smedby BoIK, Team Södermöre, Hossmo BK, Färjestadens GoIF, Kalmar FF, IFK Kalmar and Lindsdals IF).
