Sjöstaden DFF

Sjöstaden DFF was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Sjöstaden DFF, 74 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 18 different groups, whereof Sjöstaden DFF could be found in Group 14 together with AS Laval, Landvetter IF, SC Alstertal-Langenhorn and Dösjöbro IF. Sjöstaden DFF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 14. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against SV Eutingen with 0-3. In the Final, SV Eutingen won over AS Laval and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 16. Sjöstaden DFF comes from Karlskrona which lies approximately 280 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Karlskrona does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Hoby GIF, Rödeby AIF and Ronneby BK).
