Sandvikens IF

Sandvikens IF was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Sandvikens IF, 111 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof Sandvikens IF could be found in Group 22 together with Lillestrøm SK 1, IK Zenith and Sollentuna FK. Sandvikens IF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 22. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Jönköpings Södra IF with 0-1. In the Final, Stångebro United won over Lindö FF Norrköping and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 15. Sandvikens comes from Sandviken which lies approximately 420 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Sandviken does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Strömsbro IF, Gefle IF, Högbo AIK, Valbo FF and Årsunda IF).
