SC Alstertal-Langenhorn

SC Alstertal-Langenhorn was one of 70 clubs from Germany that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to SC Alstertal-Langenhorn, 74 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 18 different groups, whereof SC Alstertal-Langenhorn could be found in Group 14 together with Sjöstaden DFF, AS Laval, Landvetter IF and Dösjöbro IF. SC Alstertal-Langenhorn continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 14. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against IFK Västerås FK F16U with 1-2. In the Final, Mölnlycke IF won over New Mill FC and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 16. Alstertal-Langenhorn comes from Hamburg which lies approximately 470 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Hamburg does also provide 31 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Among others: SV Groß Borstel, SV Blankenese, Eimsbütteler TV, JFV Südholstein, SG FCU - Kisdorf, Altona 93, SV Uhlenhorst-Adler, Walddörfer SV, KFV Segeberg and FC Este 2012).
