Wä IF

Wä IF was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Wä IF, 74 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 18 different groups, whereof Wä IF could be found in Group 15 together with FK Eika Krapfoss, SV Eutingen and Kärra KIF. Wä IF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 15. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Dösjöbro IF with 5-6. In the Final, Mölnlycke IF won over New Mill FC and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 16. Wä comes from Krist which lies approximately 230 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Krist does also provide 9 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Kristianstads DFF, Hässleholms IF, Hörby FF, Höörs IS, Vinslövs IF, Åhus IF, IFK Knislinge, Kristianstad FC and Åhus HBK).
