Umedalens IF

Umedalens IF was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to Umedalens IF, 37 other teams from 7 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 9 different groups, whereof Umedalens IF could be found in Group 6 together with Örgryte IS, Missouri Rush Crozier Fierte and Alingsås IF. Umedalens IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Värmdö IF with 0-2. In the Final, IFK Wreta Kloster won over Hovås-Billdal IF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 18. Umedalens comes from Umeå which lies approximately 810 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Umeå does also provide 10 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (HTF, Mariehem SK/IFK Umeå, Tegs SK, Umeå Södra FF, Röbäcks IF, IFK Umeå, Gimonäs Umeå IF, Mariehem SK, Umeå IK FF and Sandåkerns SK).
