Kvaløya Sportsklubb

Kvaløya Sportsklubb was one of 56 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 17. In addition to Kvaløya Sportsklubb, 64 other teams from 10 different countries played in Girls 17. They were divided into 16 different groups, whereof Kvaløya Sportsklubb could be found in Group 1 together with BK Häcken 2, Falköpings KIK and Racing Power FC. Kvaløya Sportsklubb continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Mexico United FC with 0-5. In the Final, FC Schweinfurt 05 won over Eskilsminne IF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 17. Kvaløya comes from Tromsø which lies approximately 1400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Tromsø does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Fløya IF, Tromsø IL and Hamna IL).
