RIK Karlskoga

RIK Karlskoga was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to RIK Karlskoga, 37 other teams from 7 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 9 different groups, whereof RIK Karlskoga could be found in Group 1 together with Hovås-Billdal IF, Borgeby FK and Minnesota Thunder Academy. RIK Karlskoga continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Varbergs BoIS FC with 1-2. In the Final, Jitex BK won over Varbergs BoIS FC and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 18. RIK Karlskoga comes from Karlskoga which lies approximately 230 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Karlskoga does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (KIF Örebro DFF, BK Forward, Nora BK, Degerfors IF and Karlslunds IF HFK).
