Mavericks SC

Mavericks SC was one of 46 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 17. In addition to Mavericks SC, 64 other teams from 10 different countries played in Girls 17. They were divided into 16 different groups, whereof Mavericks SC could be found in Group 7 together with Sandåkerns SK, Alingsås IF and Kroken IL TIL2020. Mavericks SC continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against IFK Östersund with 0-2. In the Final, FC Schweinfurt 05 won over Eskilsminne IF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 17. Mavericks comes from Berkeley which lies approximately 8600 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
