Uppåkra IF

Uppåkra IF was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to Uppåkra IF, 81 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Uppåkra IF could be found in Group 12 together with Ekerö IK 1, Lyn Fotball 2 and Juventus Academy. Uppåkra IF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 12. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against BK Häcken with 0-2. In the Final, KFV Segeberg won over Jitex BK 2 and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 14. Uppåkra comes from Hjärup which lies approximately 240 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Hjärup does also provide 37 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Among others: IF Lödde, FC Staffanstorp, Torns IF, Kungsbacka IF, GIF Nike, Furulunds IK, Lunds BoiS/Torns IF, Skanör-Falsterbo IF, Hörby FF and Lilla Torg FF).
