Laholms FK

Laholms FK was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to Laholms FK, 37 other teams from 7 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 9 different groups, whereof Laholms FK could be found in Group 4 together with Ayenda FC, Avaldsnes IL and Lerums IS. Laholms FK continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Alingsås IF with 0-2. In the Final, Jitex BK won over Varbergs BoIS FC and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 18. Laholms FK comes from Laholm which lies approximately 150 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Laholm does also provide 8 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Munka-Ljungby IF, Ängelholms FF, IF Leikin, Markaryds IF, Skäldervikens IF, IS Halmia, Halmstads BK and Alets IK).
