Sävast AIF

Sävast AIF was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Sävast AIF, 74 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 18 different groups, whereof Sävast AIF could be found in Group 13 together with Empire FC, Täby FK and Gamla Upsala SK. Sävast AIF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 13. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Högbo AIK with 0-2. In the Final, Mölnlycke IF won over New Mill FC and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 16. Sävast AIF comes from Boden which lies approximately 1000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Boden does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (IFK Luleå, Bergnäsets AIK, Sunderby SK/Gammelstads IF, Trångfors IF and Gammelstads IF).
