Ope IF

Ope IF was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Ope IF, 111 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof Ope IF could be found in Group 9 together with Girls Unite, Mjölby AI/FF and Sickla IF. Ope IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 9. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Trelleborgs FF with 0-2. In the Final, Stångebro United won over Lindö FF Norrköping and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 15. Ope comes from Östersund which lies approximately 620 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Östersund does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (IFK Östersund, Myssjö/Ovikens IF and Östersunds FK).
