EDY Sport Enrichment Center

EDY Sport Enrichment Center was one of three clubs from Ethiopia that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to EDY Sport Enrichment Center, 89 other teams from 21 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 22 different groups, whereof EDY Sport Enrichment Center could be found in Group 19 together with Hovås-Billdal IF, Hamna IL and Myresjö/Vetlanda FK. EDY Sport Enrichment Center continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 19. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Proskills SA with 0-3. In the Final, UF Comércio e Indústria won over Qviding FIF and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 18. EDY Sport Enrichment Center also participated in Boys 17 during Gothia Cup 2022. They reached the 1/32 Final in B17 Play off B, but lost it against Enebybergs IF with 0-7. EDY Sport Enrichment Center comes from Addia Ababa which lies approximately 5900 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than EDY Sport Enrichment Center, the club Double Pass Football Project does also originate from the area around Addia Ababa.
