IFK Borgholm

IFK Borgholm was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 14B. In addition to IFK Borgholm, 30 other teams from 10 different countries played in Girls 14B. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof IFK Borgholm could be found in Group 7 together with Segeltorps IF, Empire FC 2 and Askims IK. IFK Borgholm continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against ATSV Scharmbeckstotel with 1-4. In the Final, Jönköpings Södra IF won over ATSV Scharmbeckstotel and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 14B. IFK Borgholm comes from Borgholm which lies approximately 300 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Borgholm does also provide 8 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Mönsterås GoIF, Smedby BoIK, Hossmo BK, Färjestadens GoIF, Kalmar FF, IFK Berga, IFK Kalmar and Lindsdals IF).
