IFK Österåker

IFK Österåker was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Boys 13. In addition to IFK Österåker, 193 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 13. They were divided into 48 different groups, whereof IFK Österåker could be found in Group 1 together with FC Saint Cloud, Shepherds Bush FC and Önnereds IK 1. IFK Österåker continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against MTV Treubund Lüneburg with 4-5. In the Final, Murchante FC won over IK Östria Lambohov 2 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 13. IFK Österåker comes from Åkersberga which lies approximately 420 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Åkersberga does also provide 60 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (Among others: Hässelby SK FF, IFK Lidingö, Boo FF, Järla IF, EKF Täby, Viginti Quattuor FC, Sigtuna City FK, IFK Haninge, IFK Bergshamra and Rågsveds IF).
