SOCAL ELITE FC

SOCAL ELITE FC was one of 46 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to SOCAL ELITE FC, 81 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof SOCAL ELITE FC could be found in Group 4 together with Slottskogen/Godhem, Borgeby FK and Melhus IL. SOCAL ELITE FC continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against KA 1 with 0-2. In the Final, Hammarby IF FF won over KA 1 and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 14. SOCAL ELITE FC comes from Irvine which lies approximately 8800 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Irvine does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (PSC Soccer, Laguna United FC and Elite Development Academy).
