Hovsta IF

Hovsta IF was one of 429 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2023. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Hovsta IF, 262 other teams from 30 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 64 different groups, whereof Hovsta IF could be found in Group 55 together with BK Ljungsbro, Dream Temara Academy and Pozzuolo Calcio. Hovsta IF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 55. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Alingsås IF with 0-2. In the Final, Burgos CF won over BK Höllviken/Skanör Falsterbo IF Black and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 15. Hovsta comes from Örebro which lies approximately 260 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Örebro does also provide 9 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2023 (KIF Örebro DFF, IFK Kumla, BK Forward, Adolfsbergs IK, Nora BK, Lindesberg, IFK, Örebro SK, Karlslunds IF HFK and IK Sturehov).
